USB Smart Pen To Record Your Work on The Go

If you are a journalist it may happen that while jotting down the short scripts you may miss out something important in the conversation. Of course a sound recorder can help you out to play the whole once again. But what if there could be a better device that could save the surrounding sound and the written stuff also?
Livescribe USB Smart Pen
Livescribe has come up with a smart pen that records your write up and the surrounding sound. This pen comes with an integrated Infrared camera and two noise-cancelling microphones embedded in the pen chassis. For effective recording and play back, the pen’s body comprises of ARM processor, built-in speakers, headphone jack and OLED display.

The 250 MB memory space will be able to store all reasonably sized recordings. And for further detailed reference you can transfer the contents of the pen to the computer via a simple USB connection. The functionality of this smart pen includes language translation also (Current version offers support to Mandarin, Spanish and Arabic only).

The smart pen comes with a book of microdot papers that are required for the working of pen. Three versions of Smart Pen will be available varying in the memory capacity- 250 MB, 1GB and 2GB for a price of $99, $149, $199 respectively, with a maximum storage of 200 hours. An extra microdot book will cost you $5.

This would be extremely useful for graduate student who can then miss out nothing from a lecture. For the seekers, this smart pen will be commercially available in March.
